Quick Review

The Endeavour popularly known as Everest in the outside world apart from India, is not a new name for Indian audiences. This big size proper SUV has been in the Indian market for more than a decade now managing to clock decent sales figures but was well over shadowed with the introduction of its main rival Toyota Fortuner. Until now, the Endeavour took a back seat but with its recently introduced complete new avatar, things are surely going to change for Ford in India. Calling this new change a makeover will be an understatement as this 7 seater SUV is now completely new from top to bottom. Ford has managed to include the all-American charm on the outside with a humongous four chrome slat grille that houses the Ford badging on the middle. Its connected angular sweptback HID headlamps with daytime running lights create a stunning effect at the front. The raised bonnet creases at the centre and onto the corner makes the bonnet appear quite stretched and aggressive on the outside. Its hardcore SUV dressing is complete with a large skid plate at the front which also encapsulates the front fog lamps. We have to admit, this is one of the best looking Endeavour's till date with massive road presence.

Move onto the side and one can easily notice the streamlined body with a more inclined front windscreen and the stretched glass housing onto the C pillar. Opting for a fewer character lines on the side and no wheel arch cladding, works well for this large SUV by making it look simple yet big from the sides. The engine badging and an airvent onto the side deserves a special mention which makes the SUV more premium. The integrated roofrails look quite neat and the massive 18 inch five spoke alloy wheels ups its aggressive stance from the side. The skid plate housing continues onto the back with a massive covering on the rear bumper encapsulating the reflectors as well. With a fine amalgamation of ruggedness and premium attire, Ford has also placed a chunky chrome bar at the centre of the tail gate with its initials which merges onto the sweptback tail lights creating quite an elegant effect. Thanks to its large tailgate, the loading lip remains at a comfortable height while the large windscreen on the back offers a clear view as well.
