BMW is planning to expand its range with new or revised 26 M Performance cars by 2020. The German manufacturer is dreaming for 1,00,000 unit sales per year, and according to BMW every car will have an equivalent M model or M Performance variant. They’ll introduce 11 M models and 15 M Performance cars.
BMW will provide M variants of X3, X4, upcoming Z4 and 8 Series. Surprisingly, all the new M badged vehicles will come with all-wheel-drive including X2, X7 and the upcoming 3-Series. Currently, BMW is working on M performance variants of 4 Series GT and the second-gen 4 Series Coupe and cabriolet.
The company will launch two versions of M8, 3-litre cars including M3, M4 coupe and cabriolet and X3 M. Plus, there’s also one more interesting thing, the powerful 600 BHP X5! In 2019, a new M3 is expected to unveil at Frankfurt Motor show. It’ll be based on CLAR platform, using most of the aluminium and high-strength steel. Due to that the new car will be 50 kgs lighter than the current M3. Also it’ll be more powerful with hike of 10 percent in BHP.
