The current leader in its segment, Corolla Altis comes across as a car that offers best rear seat among its competitors. Large cabin, comfortable seat, good ride, predictable handling along all add up to a car which can be driven or be driven in. Corolla's image is built on longevity and reliability which are tough to beat.. Detailed safety kit and a bigger diesel engine are definitely needed in such a premium car.

Quick Review

One of the cars that have probably witnessed love from all over the world being one of the most popular name plates is undoubtedly the Corolla. With trust and an evolution of as many as 10 generations, this sedan speaks of history and has now embarked on a voyage towards the future. The 11th generation Altis tag makes the Corolla a fresh new sedan and it quite is! The Toyota’s in-house luxury badge Lexus inspired-predator styled-facade speaks for its appealing and sharp looks. This new sedan seems to have shed some extra kilos leaving the old curvy design pattern and opting for a sleek yet elegant one. The V-formation of the twin chrome slat grille runs upto the Toyota logo on the front grille. The razor sharp front bumper houses some smart air-dam fins which run horizontally towards the front spoiler, which can be upgraded to chrome giving it a sophisticated look. The rectangular fog lamp arches completes its predator look while the day time running LEDs sitting at the top makes the Corolla Altis distinct in its segment. Toyota has made use of LEDs in quite a number with its HID headlamps that compliments its rear with wrap-around LED tail lights that are now longer than before and ups the Corolla charm. The A-pillar installed angular side mirrors with turn indicators are quite chic to look at, but what remains ordinary are the shadow lines which run quite low from the front wheel arch to rear making the side profile of this stylish sedan quite mundane. The top of the line variant now runs on bigger 16 inch wheels measuring 205/55 R16 which are quite pleasant to look at and also offer road-hugging grip. All in all, the 11th generation Corolla Altis is definitely a giant leap from its predecessor on the outside.
